The Real Message of Jesus Christ

In a world where people chase money, status, and entertainment only to find themselves more empty than when they started, the question of life’s true purpose becomes impossible to ignore. This episode features author John Fain, a former Christian who was deeply active in the Church of England, playing the church organ and studying the Bible extensively, before his honest pursuit of truth led him to Islam and inspired him to write the book “Jesus and the Injil.”

From the Church of England to the Quran

John Fain was not a casual believer. He attended church regularly, participated in masses, and devoted himself to Bible study from a young age. But the more he studied, the more questions arose, particularly around doctrines like the Trinity that could not be logically explained. When he encountered the Quran, the message struck him as profoundly simple and rational: Did you create yourself, or did you come from nothing? Logically, nothing can come from nothing, and nothing can create itself. There must be a Creator, and there must be a purpose.

The Quran poses the question: Did you create yourself, or did you come from nothing? Logically, nothing can come from nothing. There has to be a cause, and there has to be a purpose.

What Jesus Really Taught

  • Jesus called people to worship the Creator alone, never asking anyone to worship him alongside God
  • The original message of Jesus (the Injil) was pure monotheism, the same message of every prophet from Adam to Muhammad (peace be upon them all)
  • Islam does not reject Jesus; it honors him as one of the mightiest messengers of God
  • Following Jesus authentically means following his actual teachings: submission to the One God

Never did Jesus call people to worship himself alongside God. He was subservient to God. He called people to worship God. He was the teacher illustrating how to do these acts of worship.

The message of Islam is not something strange or foreign. It is the same message that every prophet delivered throughout history: worship the One who created the sun and the moon, the heavens and the earth, and everything in between. If you were living during the time of Jesus, you would have been required to follow him. Today, that prophetic chain continues through the final messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the invitation remains open to all of humanity. The Quran is available for anyone sincerely seeking truth, and it offers not fiction but verifiable facts that enlighten the mind and nourish the soul.
