A Muslim tells his father he joined ISIS, WATCH what happens Next!

When a young Muslim man walks up to his father and announces he has joined ISIS, the reaction is immediate, visceral, and deeply rooted in authentic Islamic values. In a now-viral prank video, an Australian Muslim son fakes this announcement — and his father’s response tells you everything you need to know about how real Muslim families view extremism. The father’s outrage was not just parental concern; it was a faith-driven rejection of everything ISIS stands for. This episode of The Deen Show, featuring scholar and author Sheikh Jalal, breaks down this powerful moment and separates the truth of Islam from the lies of extremist propaganda.

A Father’s Reaction Rooted in True Islamic Faith

The father in the video did not hesitate for a single second. Before even addressing ISIS, he corrected his son about the tattoo — because Islam teaches that the body is a trust from Allah and must not be permanently altered. Sheikh Jalal, author of Holy Wars, Crusades, and Jihad, praised this father as a model of authentic Islamic parenting, noting that his response represents the typical Muslim household. This is what real faith looks like in action: a parent who knows the religion deeply enough to identify violations of Islamic law on sight, and who categorically rejects any association with groups that contradict the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

ISIS is one of the most extreme cases of Khawarij that I have ever seen. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself foretold about these groups — he called them the dogs of Hellfire. How can Islam be responsible for this group when the Prophet of Islam condemned them by name, by action, and by creed?

Islam Identified and Condemned Extremism Centuries Ago

  • The Khawarij tradition: ISIS follows the ideology of the Khawarij — rebels against Islamic law whom Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned about in dozens of authentic narrations, describing them as the most dangerous group for Muslims.
  • Muslims are the primary victims: The overwhelming majority of people killed by ISIS and similar groups are Muslims themselves — a fact that directly contradicts any claim that these groups represent Islam.
  • Centuries of peaceful coexistence prove the truth: Christian, Yazidi, and other minority communities lived and prospered under Islamic governance for over 1,300 years. Their survival is undeniable proof that Islam does not permit violence against peaceful populations.
  • Every act of ISIS violates Islamic law: From burning captives alive to enslaving peaceful communities, Sheikh Jalal confirmed there is virtually no prohibited act in Islam that ISIS has not committed — all while falsely invoking the name of Islam.
  • Islam is a faith of peace and justice: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Woe to you — who can be fair if I am not fair?” Islam’s foundation is justice, mercy, and the protection of life, not the chaos and bloodshed of extremist ideology.

Separating Authentic Islam from the Insane State

Islam already told us about these people. It is not only that Islam does not allow what ISIS does — Islam identified this group by name, by action, and by creed over 1,400 years ago. They are thieves, murderers, and the enemies of everything the Prophet taught.

The truth that every person of good conscience needs to hear is simple: ISIS has nothing to do with Islam. Authentic Islam is the faith that protected minorities for fourteen centuries, that forbids harm to innocents, that commands mercy even in warfare, and that produces fathers like the one in this video — men whose first instinct upon hearing the word “ISIS” is total rejection. If you have been confused by mainstream media narratives, this is your invitation to look deeper, to study the actual teachings, and to discover a religion of peace, submission to God, and profound human dignity.
