Filmed during TheDeenShow’s first-ever visit to the United Kingdom, this highlights episode from Manchester captures the energy and impact of connecting with Muslim communities in England. From the Muslim Heritage Center’s House of Wisdom exhibition to heartfelt conversations about dawah, purpose, and the future of Islam in the West, this episode showcases the vibrant work British Muslims are doing to serve their communities and share the message of Islam.
The Story Behind TheDeenShow
In an interview at the Manchester studio, Eddie shared how TheDeenShow started in 2006 and has been producing weekly episodes ever since. What began as a natural consequence of learning Islam — getting excited about the truth and wanting to share it with friends and family — has grown into a platform reaching millions. The show’s mission remains unchanged: clearing misconceptions about Islam, delivering the purpose of life, and highlighting stories of people from all walks of life who found peace and contentment only after embracing Islam.
“The more I’ve interviewed scholars and people from other religions, the more they investigated their own faith, the more contradictions they found, and the more it pushed them toward Islam. The more you study Islam, the more it empowers you.”
What Muslims Are Really About
A visit to a Manchester mosque revealed wall-to-wall community service projects that define what Muslims are truly about: disaster appeals, health awareness sessions, cleanup street projects, food banks, youth mentoring, marriage education, homeless winter food packs, and adult health checks. This is the reality of Islam in action — worshiping the Creator includes being a benefit to humanity at large, not just oneself.
“If you share, you care. The beautiful thing about dawah is that it empowers you. The more you learn your Deen, the more you appreciate it, the more you’re convinced of it. But many Muslims aren’t convinced of Islam because they don’t study it.”
