Message to Lex Fridman & Elon Musk (Response To Lex Fridman on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

When prominent voices like Lex Fridman and Elon Musk discuss matters of faith, purpose, and the meaning of life on massive platforms, it opens the door for millions to hear the truth about Islam and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In a recent episode of The Deen Show, a powerful response was delivered to comments made by a rabbi on Lex Fridman’s podcast — comments that repeated a long-standing misconception: that Prophet Muhammad simply copied stories from Jewish scriptures. The facts of history, however, tell a very different story.

Prophet Muhammad Could Not Read or Write — A Historical Fact

The claim that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) “heard stories from Jews and wrote them down” falls apart under the most basic historical scrutiny. Every credible historian — Muslim and non-Muslim alike — confirms that the Prophet was unlettered. He could not read or write. There were no Jewish communities living in Makkah where he grew up, and the one scholar in his family circle, Waraqah ibn Nawfal, passed away in the earliest days of revelation. The Quran addresses far more than stories of previous prophets — it speaks to real-time events, battles, legal rulings, and spiritual guidance that could not possibly have been “copied” from any earlier text.

We as Muslims believe, and we know for a fact, that the original scriptures of the Old Hebrew Bible are no longer with us. When those scriptures were rewritten from memory, from stories, from tradition — these things were corrupted and added. That is why the same Creator who inspired Moses and Abraham and David inspired Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him — a man who could not read or write, a man who had no idea about the scriptures of the Jews and Christians — with this divine revelation to correct that which was corrupted.

The Quran Corrects — It Does Not Copy

  • Prophet David (peace be upon him): The Hebrew Bible attributes adultery, deception, and murder to Prophet David. Islam honors him as a righteous king and prophet who never committed such acts. If the Quran were copied, why would these stories be left out?
  • Prophet Lot (peace be upon him): The Old Testament accuses this righteous prophet of incest with his own daughters. The Quran categorically rejects this fabrication and presents him as a noble messenger who called his people away from sin.
  • Preservation: The earliest manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible — the Dead Sea Scrolls — date to roughly 200 BC, thousands of years after Moses. Meanwhile, the Quran has been preserved in its original Arabic from the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), letter by letter, generation after generation.
  • Character of the Prophets: Islam upholds every prophet as a moral example worthy of being followed. No prophet in Islam is portrayed as a drunkard, adulterer, or criminal — because God does not place immoral people in positions of divine authority over humanity.

An Open Invitation to Lex Fridman and Elon Musk

We invite you, Lex, the Rabbi, and everybody else. Elon Musk too — when you get to Mars, man, we will get you past Mars. We will get you to Jannah.

The Eternal Life Every Soul Is Searching For

  • Lex Fridman tweeted: “I hate that every awesome thing comes to an end.” Islam has the answer — the life of the Hereafter in Paradise (Jannah) is everlasting, with no pain, no boredom, no decline.
  • Elon Musk said: The two worst curses are living forever or having anything you want. That is true of this temporary world — but in Jannah, Allah removes fatigue, jealousy, and monotony. Beauty never fades. Joy only increases.
  • The formula is simple: Turn to your Creator alone — not to any created being — and sincerely ask for guidance. Muslims see people accept Islam every single day through this honest supplication.
  • Islam connects you to every prophet: Muslims pray the way Jesus prayed — forehead on the ground. Muslims honor Moses, David, and Abraham as beloved prophets. Islam is not a new religion; it is the original message of pure monotheism restored and perfected through Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The dawah to truth is not about winning debates — it is about reaching hearts. Whether you are a scientist like Lex Fridman, an entrepreneur like Elon Musk, or someone quietly searching for meaning at home, Islam welcomes your questions. Study the Quran with an open mind. Look at the preservation, the prophecies, and the moral clarity it offers. Then ask the One who created you — sincerely, privately, with no audience — to guide you to the truth.
